About Freedom House Recovery Services
Located in Roxboro, North Carolina, the Freedom House Recovery Center provides behavioral health treatment for men, women and children. It offers extensive outpatient services for substance use treatment using evidence-based therapies and peer services to help clients on their journey to recovery.
Freedom House works with community partners to help clients receive comprehensive care and reintegrate into society. They have a sliding fee scale based on family size and income to minimize financial barriers to treatment. Plus, no one will be denied services due to an inability to pay.
Freedom House’s outpatient clinic offers various services to help clients beat the cycle of addiction. These include individual and group therapy, peer support services to help with connection to community services and psychiatric treatment and medication management for co-occurring mental health conditions.
Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is also available for clients who are chemically dependent on substances. It involves a combination of prescription medications to ease withdrawal and cravings, and counseling to help clients get to the root causes of their addiction.
I really like that mobile services are available for those who find it hard to get to the outpatient clinic in person. The mobile crisis team operates 24/7 and 365 days a year, responding to adults and children experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis. If a client can’t be stabilized at home or in the community then they are helped in the transition to the appropriate support or detoxification service.
