About UPMC Western Behavioral Health at Mon Yough

UPMC Western Behavioral Health at Mon Yough, formerly known as Mon Yough Community Services Adult Outpatient is located in Mckeesport, Pennsylvania. This is a comprehensive medical facility that serves seniors, adults and adolescents who are struggling with behavioral health challenges or substance use struggles. They offer residential care and outpatient support. You'll also get connected to specialized services such as DUI programs and intervention support.

Their addiction treatment and intervention services program is designed for adults who are experiencing struggles with opioids, alcohol and other substances. This program is offered through their outpatient program. There's also an intensive outpatient program (IOP) if you need more robust support.

Services you'll find include individual and group counseling sessions. There's also case management which will allow you to get connected to resources like housing and local food banks. You also get help applying for health insurance.

Treatment through this program will assess both your substance use struggles and any underlying mental health conditions you may have. An appropriate treatment plan will be created for you. This treatment plan may include medication assisted treatment (MAT). Using FDA approved medications you can manage ongoing cravings that are associated with your alcohol or opioid use recovery.

If you have an underlying mental health struggle, you'll be supported through their residential services that target co-occurring disorders. Other supports include social and psychiatric rehab, an underage drinking program and supported employment. These supports help you to lead a successful life after you complete your treatment program.
