About UPAC
UPAC is a nonprofit addiction treatment provider in San Diego, California offering culturally responsive outpatient substance use disorder services for adolescents, transition age youth and adults.
I think it's worth noting that this site is associated with UPAC's Expanding Horizons program, recognized as San Diego County's first outpatient treatment program designed specifically for transition age youth ages 18 to 25.
UPAC's mission centers on serving refugees and immigrants, Asian and Pacific Islander communities and other underserved populations through multilingual, community rooted care.
Treating Adults and Teens
Care typically begins with an assessment to determine the appropriate level of support, with options including outpatient substance use disorder treatment, ambulatory withdrawal management and non methadone medication assisted treatment for clinically appropriate clients.
UPAC serves adolescents ages 12 to 17 through its Teen Recovery Center, transition age youth ages 18 to 25 through Expanding Horizons, and adults 18+ through its Adult Addiction Treatment and Recovery Program.
Clients can expect counseling, mental health therapy and case management.
I want to add that UPAC also pairs treatment with wraparound supports including help with housing and income resources, food and transportation to promote long term stability and recovery.
