Mark Twain's Crisis Stabilization Unit in Mexico, Missouri offers crisis services and referrals to adults aged 18 and older, including DUI and DWI clients. Medicaid and Medicare are accepted, along with private and military plans like TRICARE, as well as self pay. Sliding scale fees are also available based on income and other factors to those eligible.

Crisis Support Services For Young People and Adults

Crisis services are available here 24/7 to individuals experiencing mental health crises including an addiction crisis. You can access support over the phone or via mobile visits as needed, with assessments and treatment provided.

While addiction treatment services aren’t provided on site here, this is an excellent starting point for you where referrals can be made by the team to ensure you’re able to access the care you need through appropriate programs within the organization’s network. We appreciate how dedicated they are to helping people when they need it most.

Drug Rehab Services by Referral

The crisis team can refer you to both outpatient and residential drug rehab services, including educational and support groups at their other locations. Detox services are also available within the network, helping you manage the initial withdrawal symptoms and cravings that typically hit during this time. These services are available 24/7 and can be accessed either voluntarily or through court ordered 96 hour holds.

Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is also provided here, offering clients a holistic approach to addiction recovery for opioid use disorder, alcohol use disorder, and even tobacco cessation. The MAT team even features a nationally accredited Tobacco Treatment Specialist who can support you in successfully becoming tobacco free.

Therapy and counseling services are provided in tandem with MAT, including grief therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), along with other methods.
