About Turn About Ranch

Turn About Ranch is located in Escalante, Utah. This is a recovery and treatment facility that works with teens who are experiencing academic and behavioral health, including mental health and co-occurring substance use struggles. Care is offered in a residential treatment center. You’ll work with a multidisciplinary team that will help you build the skills your child needs to live a meaningful and fruitful life. They accept policies from most major insurance providers.

Teens who receive services are supported by round the clock care. While treatment plans are individualized, the heart of the program is work therapy services through their equestrian therapy programs. There are also a host of clinical services that will support teens.

You’ll have the guidance of individual and group counseling sessions where you’ll reflect on your unique struggles. You’ll learn how to deal with triggers and negative emotions that contribute to your dual diagnosis. You’ll also learn different coping skills and strategies to help you manage difficult emotions that may lead to mental health struggles or substance use.

There is 24 hour medical care offered here and medication therapy may be used to meet your recovery needs. In conjunction with counseling, you’ll work through a rigid program to build essential life skills.

There’s also an academic program and vocational training. You’ll also learn horsemanship through equine therapy, and you’ll have access to outdoor and recreational activities where you can begin building healthy habits. These are often habits that many teens go on to incorporate into their own lives after the program is complete.
