About Tueller Counseling Idaho Falls
Tueller Counseling Idaho Falls in Idaho Falls, Idaho, is one of the organization’s four separate locations in the southeast Idaho region. Dedicated to supporting individuals and families of all ages with their mental and behavioral health, they provide a range of guidance, support and skills training services to clients committed to making a positive change in their lives.
As a trusted and established mental health clinic, Tueller is known for providing treatment and services that help individuals and families lead more fulfilling, productive and happier lives. This is done using therapy as a primary tool to support clients. Individual, group, couples and family therapy are all provided. A few different therapeutic styles are available here, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), play therapy and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). Group therapy sessions typically involve 4-15 individuals and are facilitated by a therapist who helps individuals open up and share their experiences within a safe space.
Specialized drug and alcohol counseling is also available as part of a wider substance abuse program. This program includes drug and alcohol tests and assessments, outpatient and intensive outpatient programming and support from a dedicated recovery coach. They will also provide transportation to treatment related appointments.
The center’s assessment initiative decides whether clients are better suited to outpatient treatment or their intensive outpatient program (IOP) depending on what score they get. For those scoring higher, the IOP is usually recommended. This involves a commitment of around five to nine hours of treatment per week. Those with a lower score will be better suited to standard outpatient treatment, which requires four to six hours of treatment per week. As part of both programs, case management services are available, as well as life skills training, relapse prevention sessions and support groups.
