True Life Counseling – Closed

True Life Counseling was located in Wasilla, Alaska. They were located in a rural community in a commercial complex, with onsite parking. They started in 1997 and were also close to Route 3 and near Cottonwood Lake, Wasilla Lake and Finger Lake, providing natural settings to heal and explore the water and its surrounding habit.

True Life offered mental health and substance use disorder treatment as well as crisis services with locations in Wasilla. However, this location has since closed.

Dedicated Crisis Care Facility

When they were open, their crisis care could have assisted clients seeking and in need of immediate care to address their addictions. Crisis peers would work with community teams of health professionals to stabilize addiction needs at their crisis center. They could provide you with overnight, supervised treatment with medication to assist in minimizing your discomfort and prevent relapse.

Assessment for Intake and Outpatient Care

Prior to seeking crisis care, you would have received an assessment concerning the level of care you qualified for. They could have also assessed any mental health needs. Assessments were offered both in person and through telehealth services.

I like that they also worked with clients to heal relationships with family members, including children and partners. The facility was offered to both adult men and women seeking supervised care and treatment.

Out and About in Wasilla

In between treatment, you could take in the natural sights and local attractions. Exercise and being out in nature can supplement recovery. The center wasn’t too far from Wasilla Lake and Newcomb Park. Lucille Lake is also within driving distance.
