About Trehab Community Action Agency Susquehanna
Serving the community of Montrose, Pennsylvania, Trehab Community Action Agency Susquehanna offers comprehensive programming. Services include behavioral health, affordable housing, transportation and workforce development. Drug and alcohol prevention and treatment consists of screening and assessment, an intensive outpatient program (IOP) and aftercare planning. Trehab attempts to provide care to vulnerable populations first like veterans, pregnant people and overdose survivors.
Drug and alcohol treatment is provided to adults, adolescents and families. Their treatment philosophy is based on helping you eliminate destructive behaviors and helping you establish a drug free lifestyle. You’ll receive a comprehensive assessment that will help a licensed clinician make the appropriate treatment recommendation type and length for you. During treatment you’ll participate in individual and group therapy with psychoeducational groups. Proven approaches like brief therapy, rational living therapy and specialized gender therapy groups will help you heal. While in session you’ll cover topics like the development of a sober structure and support system, how to navigate impulse control and new coping skills.
For adolescent clients, treatment will focus on education and peer groups, the impact of relapse and guidance on how to make new friends. Adolescents are also encouraged to attend 12 Step meetings.
An important component of treatment at Trehab is comprehensive aftercare planning. Counselors will connect you to long term care and living arrangements like a sober house if needed. When accessing care at Trehab, you’ll be able to use their other important services like workforce training and connections to community resources.
Trehab also offers outreach and prevention services in schools and throughout the community to spread awareness about drug and alcohol abuse. Trehab provides life skills training, a program called Too Good for Drugs and a student assistance program.
To further serve community needs, Trehab offers a Lending Library. They have a large collection of video and printed resources available that community members can access for free.
