About Tina Klem Serenity House

In Bridgeport, Connecticut, the Tina Klem Serenity House is a recovery home for women. They operate under the umbrella of Recovery Network of Programs. They accept Medicaid Husky A & D.

Up to 12 women at a time can live here and get care for substance abuse and co-occurring psychiatric disorders. They also serve women who have a history of trauma. Stays last 90 days and include room and board as well as training in group settings.

Residents will receive a variety of training in groups on topics. These include life and parenting skills and how to find work and maintain a job. Substance abuse classes will focus on relapse prevention, anger management and coping skills. A big focus will also be on health and wellness so that residents can heal their bodies and minds and begin sustainable habits for the future.

As this is a female-only space, residents are able to work through trauma without being triggered by the presence of men. They can also openly discuss issues like domestic violence and intimate partner abuse, along with topics that pertain just to women.
