About The Way Back San Diego

Located in the residential suburb of San Diego, California, The Way Back San Diego is a residential substance abuse recovery program for men. Treatment is provided for those experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, focusing on the seven foundations of recovery.

Clients follow a structured program that includes clinical, educational, and relapse prevention groups. They receive individual psychotherapy, including motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and narrative therapy. The center promotes physical and spiritual wellness through outdoor walks and mindfulness meditation.

The Way Back drug rehab facility works with Medi-Cal. Any referrals for additional medical, mental health, or addiction treatments may be covered in full or in part by major insurers, such as Cigna, Humana, BlueCross/BlueShield, TRICARE, Wellmark, Kaiser Permanente, ComPsych, and Bright Health.
