About The Salvation Army Phoenix Adult Rehabilitation Center

The Salvation Army Phoenix Adult Rehabilitation Center is a faith based work therapy rehab program in Phoenix, Arizona. What exactly does that mean? In this case it means that you’ll work at Salvation Army facilities while they provide you with addiction counseling and addiction education as well as spiritual counseling. You’ll be required to attend worship services as well.

This is a residential program so you’ll live at the treatment center throughout your 180 day program. It’s for adults ages 21 to 65 but you have to already have detoxed from drugs and alcohol before your program begins.

The most important benefit I noticed is that this program is completely free even if you don’t have insurance. This can make treatment finally accessible to people who aren’t able to afford other programs.

In work therapy, you'll build essential skills that will support your sobriety. You'll learn how to navigate social dynamics and how to manage your emotions during difficult circumstances. You'll also find support as you encounter struggles that aim to pull you back into destructive habits like alcohol or drug use.

You can also get connected to other services if you're experiencing other stressors that are impacting your overall health and well being.

You’ll also have access to services like counseling here. In counseling, you'll learn strategies and techniques that can help you manage negative thoughts and emotions when they arise. There are also peer led support meetings that take a faith-based approach to recovery. By using this approach, you can tap into your network of support and a higher power when you encounter difficult parts of your recovery.
