The Guidance Center in Leavenworth, Kansas is a community-oriented non-profit organization that serves children, adults nand families who have been touched by mental health struggles or substance use. They can also help you if you have a complex co-occurring disorder.

This organization is committed to serving individuals from all walks of life and socioeconomic backgrounds. You will not be denied care because of an inability to pay.

The clinic is a Certified Behavioral Health Clinic that serves residents throughout the region including those in Atchison, Jefferson, and Leavenworth Counties. As a CBHC, they’re dedicated to removing obstacles that might have stood in your way of quality medical care. Here, you'll find different avenues of support you can turn to whether it's through this clinic or other community resources.

The care here is truly comprehensive and designed to help you get the appropriate services for your recovery needs. There’s evidence based care including medication assisted treatment, diagnostic assessments for substance use and mental health and psychiatric services among other supports.

You’ll follow an initialized recovery plan that uses the appropriate clinical therapies to help you find health and wellness.

As a community mental health care provider, you’ll find that the Guidance Center has a number of community partners that allow them to reach individuals in the community.

For example, through their school partnerships, children can receive counseling and therapy services in the least restrictive environment. This also makes it easier for families to get the appropriate care for their children in a manner that is not overwhelming or challenging.
