About The Foundry Ministries

The Foundry Ministries’ Bessemer Men’s Center is a faith based drug and alcohol rehab in Bessemer, Alabama. There’s a combo of inpatient (IP) and outpatient (OP) programs. It takes nine months to complete. The first six months are spent living on the premises. You can stay on for the last three and find work nearby, or you can live at home and come in for sessions. Being in an urban setting makes the center easily accessible.

It’s important to note that you must complete detox before starting your treatment here.

Men and women respond differently to addiction and its challenges. Being in an all-male facility makes it easier to get honest with yourself and others. The camaraderie of being in the trenches together creates deep bonds that can continue as lifelong sober friendships. As you support each other and become mutually accountable, you’ll find you’re not alone.

Your recovery plan includes individual counseling. You’ll work with a counselor to identify the root cause of your addictive behaviors. The spiritual guidance you’ll get will be from a Christian viewpoint. You don’t need to believe in Christian beliefs to get treated here.

While you’re part of the program, all your basic needs will be met. You’ll stay in safe, comfortable accommodation with meals and other necessities provided.

There’ll be education workshops opportunities. A valuable part of your recovery is job readiness skills. You’ll learn how to find and apply for work. They’ll teach you the basics of putting together a resume and acing your interview. Before you complete the program, they’ll connect you with resources and groups where you can continue your recovery journey.
