About The Calvin Rolark Center

Formerly known as The Calvin Rolark Center, Gaudenzia RAP is an alcohol addiction and drug rehab center located in Washington DC. Levels of care include detoxification treatment, medication assisted treatment, outpatient treatment, an intensive outpatient program and short and long term residential inpatient care. Services are available to adult men and women of all ages and walks of life. Gaudenzia also provides dual diagnosis care to those struggling with concurrent mental health issues.

Guadenzia’s detox and withdrawal management programs form a key component in their continuum of care. Their medical team provides 24 hour support and withdrawal management, with medical professionals, counselors and clinicians available to support clients in this first step of the recovery process.

Gaudenzia offers induction and maintenance for medication assisted treatment as part of its evidence based approach. Medications primarily used are Vivitrol, naloxone, and several forms of buprenorphine. Methadone maintenance is offered through a community partner program.

Short and long term residential treatment at Gaudenzia takes place in separate male and female dormitories. Programming follows a structured daily program. Group and individual therapy sessions occur daily, alongside life and social skills sessions and other activities. Upon arrival, individuals receive psychiatric and behavioral health assessments and a personalized treatment plan.

The intensive outpatient program involves individual, group and family therapy. Modalities include cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational enhancement therapy. Life skills and educational sessions are also offered.

Outpatient treatment offers clients a less intensive treatment option, with measurable milestones and goals through personalized treatment plans. Individual, group and family therapy are also provided, alongside case management and life skills education.

Gaudenzia accepts self pay options, Medicaid and many commercial insurance options including Aetna, Humana, Cigna and United Healthcare. Clients are advised to clarify coverage with individual providers regarding out of network benefits.
