About Bridge Inc

Located inside the Tuscaloosa County Juvenile Detention Center on 12th Avenue East, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, is the Bridge’s Tuscaloosa Outpatient program for juveniles experiencing issues relating to substance use disorders and mental health conditions. They’re in close proximity to hotels, restaurants and parks including Snow Hilton Park and the J Oviatt Bowers Park. Their staff provides early intervention services for at-risk youth as well as outpatient behavioral health services to those who’ve been referred to by the court system.

Early Intervention Services Assist At-Risk Youth

Bridge’s early intervention program provides at-risk youth who are showing signs of high-risk behavior including substance abuse, with educational insight on avoiding and preventing future conflicts that are the result of negative behavior. They’re available to youth aged 12-18 who do not currently fit the criteria for admittance for treatment, both in hospital and outpatient.

These services provide opportunities for youth and their families to recognize the warning signs before it's too late of potential serious mental health issues and substance use disorder addiction.

Outpatient Youth Services at 11 Area Locations

The Bridge’s staff provides youths with outpatient behavioral health treatment. This provides them to seek and receive care, in a structured environment at the convenience of their school or personal schedules. Treatment may include counseling and referrals for specialized care that can assist your child in reaching mental health and substance use disorder stabilization.

In addition, I saw that The Bridge offers 11 other outpatient locations throughout the State of Alabama that provide behavioral health services.

Referrals via Community Programs & Health Care Facilities

The Bridge is funded through the Alabama Department of Mental Health with their intervention programs being offered in partnership with counties in the State of Alabama. They will also provide you with referrals for outside care and continued treatment through community programs and additional health care facilities.
