About The Better Way Program

The Better Way Program in Washington DC is a nonprofit organization specializing in offering drug rehab and alcohol addiction treatment. Outpatient support is available to young adults aged 18 and older, as well as men and women of all ethnicities, sexualities and religious beliefs.

Individuals treated at The Better Way Program will have contact with Certified Addiction Counselors for therapeutic mentoring and dependency counseling and coaching sessions that address the root causes of their addiction. The Better Way Program also offers spiritual support, helping clients incorporate their religious or spiritual beliefs into their recovery plan. Clients also engage in social activities for a holistic treatment process. Family and marital services assist clients in mending family and relationship conflicts that may have arisen from the pressure of their addiction. The Better Way Program also provides access to networks and resources for care coordination, as well as referrals for individuals in need of more intensive care.

The Better Way Program accepts self pay options and many commercial insurance plans including Aetna, Cigna, Humana and United Healthcare. Clients are always advised to check coverage with individual providers regarding out of network benefits.
