About Talbert House Cornerstone Halfway House

Talbert House Cornerstone Halfway House is a drug and alcohol rehab facility located in Cincinnati, Ohio. They provide temporary housing for justice system clients who have substance use disorder and alcohol use disorder. They provide medically assisted treatment (MAT) via methadone for withdrawal symptoms.

People who stay at this house have been convicted of crimes that are related to substances such as driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. It’s a transitional point between incarceration and normal life.

Entering the House

You will have a mental health assessment and be assigned a case manager when you come in. The case manager will follow your progress throughout your stay. You may be referred to the house by a parole officer or the court.

Daily Life at Talbert

They’ll provide you with group and individual therapy. All clients have to take drug tests often. Therapists treat clients with criminal behavioral modification therapy. This method teaches people to think about the ethics of their actions and the effects of those actions on others.

The thing I like best about this place is the GED program and vocational training they provide. I think many people struggle and even relapse because they cannot get legitimate jobs due to a lack of education.
