About Symetria — Houston Outpatient Rehab & Suboxone Clinic

Symetria - Houston Outpatient Rehab & Suboxone Clinic is a CARF accredited treatment center located in Houston, Texas. They provide treatment to adults who are experiencing substance abuse disorders. Services available include medication assisted treatment (MAT) and an intensive outpatient program (IOP).

During the intake process a comprehensive assessment and evaluation will be conducted. This will help them get a better understanding of how they can assist you and ensure you get the treatment you need.

MAT can be offered to ease the withdrawals and cravings from substance abuse. Medications they utilize here are Suboxone, methadone, and Vivitrol injections. This can be further discussed once you get connected to the medical staff who will determine what medication is most appropriate for you. The medication addresses the physical side of addiction, while group and individual counseling address the mental and emotional aspects.

Individual therapy will consist of you working with a therapist and developing a personalized treatment plan to achieve the goals you have for treatment. EMDR and cognitive behavioral therapy are some of the many holistic therapies they utilize. These forms of therapies can help with processing trauma to help reduce the chance of retraumatization, help you gain self resilience and allow your mind and body to heal. Developing coping skills, managing intense emotions and learning how to manage anger will be included, so you can feel confident and combat any issues that come up.

Group therapy will be three times a week. You will be working with a therapist and other peers who are on the same or similar journey as you. This can create a sense of belonging and reassurance that you aren’t alone. Engaging with peers in therapy can also improve your communication skills and the way you interact with others.
