About Sunpath
Sunpath LLC is a community focused outpatient facility offering mental health and substance use treatment in a commercial district of Gastonia, North Carolina. It’s not too far from North Park if you’re looking for a greenspace to unwind. They provide outpatient therapy, case management and assessment. They can help you handle co-occurring conditions as well.
They primarily offer substance abuse comprehensive outpatient treatment (SACOT) and substance abuse intensive outpatient program (SAIOP). Both focus on helping you understand the harmful effects of substance use and how to build a strong support system.
You’ll gain practical life skills or education, vocational training and social and interpersonal skills to overcome addiction as a barrier to work. Family members are included to improve relationships and better understand addiction. The goal is to help you stay committed to recovery and build a healthier future.
SACOT is more about intensive support to help you manage your recovery process. It’s highly structured and as such suitable if you’re dealing with severe substance use issues. You can expect 20 hours of treatment daily broken into four hours a day. SAIOP is a relatively less intensive treatment than SACOT. It’s suitable if you need a moderate level of support to recover.
You can expect just about three hours of therapy daily for three days weekly. This program offers more flexibility with sessions designed to accommodate your work and family commitments. It can be a good fit to help reintegrate you into regular routines and responsibilities.
Assessments for substance use disorders are given as are reports for legal, employment or even personal needs. The assessment often forms the basis for an individualized treatment plan that guides the recovery process.
Their outpatient therapy handles common emotional issues that trigger substance use. This includes trauma, stress, and anger management. It’s focused on improving your ability to manage daily life and handle tough situations. You can build or maintain the skills to live independently.
They provide crisis intervention services as well to help you navigate tough situations and find immediate support when you need it most. Teens with serious substance use or mental health challenges who need extra help to stay stable in their community can benefit from their intensive in-home treatment support.
Their wraparound services encompass medication management, care coordination and linkage with community resources. The latter may include safe housing, employment support and navigation of the healthcare system. They also connect you to community support groups.
