As an ASAM Level 3.5 facility, Sundown M Ranch has the clinical expertise, with 24 hour staff and medical director onsite, to effectively treat substance use disorders. The integrated program of recovery encompasses withdrawal management, medication assisted treatment, individual and group therapy, psychoeducation, family programs, and trauma informed care. Participants can take part in exercise, relapse prevention training, parenting classes, access nicotine cessation groups, and even a postpartum group. Amenities include a fully kitted gym, rural grounds, wildlife, daily housekeeping, semiprivate rooms, weekly laundry, a basketball court, a dining room, and outdoor recreation.

The medication assisted treatment (MAT) program at Sundown M Ranch involves the use of certain medications, like buprenorphine, and behavioral counseling to treat alcohol and opioid use disorders. It is considered the gold standard of opioid use disorder treatment by the National Institute on Drug Abuse and is endorsed by SAMHSA.
