Sundown M Ranch is an addiction recovery facility for adolescents, adults and senior adults in Yakima, Washington. For live in treatment, you’ll stay at their ranch house on 33 scenic acres of peaceful land. Their part time treatment is currently via telehealth. They’ll do a thorough assessment and recommend a recovery path that will benefit you the most.

As part of your recovery, they may give you addiction medication. This eases the discomfort of withdrawal and eliminates cravings. You’ll be educated about addiction. Men and women go to separate groups for therapy. Your counselor will meet with you by yourself to get to the root of your addictive behaviors. To help your body recover you’ll do physical exercise.

Adolescents are taken through a program suited to their needs including onsite schooling. They’re treated from a trauma informed perspective. Their relapse prevention is tailored to the challenges that their generations face. To allow individuals time to heal fully, they can stay on for longer periods.

One thing that stood out to me about them is the variety of specialty groups they run. You can join a relapse prevention group that focuses on giving you the tools you need to stay strong. There’s a separate senior adult group. Being with people you can relate to is helpful for recovery. They also run a postpartum group as their challenges and needs are very specific.
