The DeLand outpatient facility of SMA Healthcare provides comprehensive outpatient substance use treatment and mental healthcare in DeLand, Florida. The organization is CARF accredited and sponsored by the State of Florida Department of Children and Families.
They are contracted with most major insurance plans such as Medicaid, Medicare and Children’s Health Insurance program. They will conduct a financial assessment during your intake to advise you of the cost of their services. If needed, they offer a discounted sliding fee scale.

The DeLand facility can also connect you with social programs that can help if you or your child is struggling with substance use. For example, the CINS/FINS program can help families with children who frequently run away or skip school. The Supportive Housing Case Management Program can help you find safe and sober living options.
There are two outpatient substance abuse programs, one for adolescents and one for those 18 and older. Both programs will first start off with an assessment. The assessment will help the staff understand your substance use history, medical history and family history. Once the assessment is completed, your individualized treatment plan will be created to meet your unique needs.

Participation in the adult outpatient program can be voluntary or court ordered. The adolescent program will focus on treatment interventions to remain substance free, reduce impulsivity, repair relationships and develop life skills and social skills.
