About Step N 2 Recovery Services

Step N 2 Recovery Services was an addiction treatment clinic for adults and adolescents that provided outpatient treatment, DUI assessments and education, and medication assisted treatment (MAT). The clinic in Prince Frederick, Maryland, served residents of three counties: Calvert, St. Mary’s and Arundel. The clinic is no longer open.

Step N 2 Recovery may have accepted Medicaid and other insurance plans for covered services. Court-ordered classes are often not paid by health insurance, but outpatient treatment generally is.

Outpatient Treatment in Prince Frederick

The clinic provided mental health and substance use evaluations so they could clearly identify what you’re facing. They had intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) and regular outpatient treatment.

Services included individual and group therapy, which were divided by age group for teens and adults. There may have also been gender specific group treatment. Step N 2 Recovery provided MAT using Suboxone for those struggling with opioid use.

The program helped clients look at what the roots of addiction were and address those needs with healthier coping mechanisms. I like that they also helped you determine what triggered your desire to use drugs and alcohol and create relapse prevention strategies to avoid those things.

DUI Programs

Step N 2 Recovery also administered DUI assessments and education programs. You may have also had a treatment requirement depending on your evaluation. These services were reported to the court so you could get your license back and move forward with a lower chance of reoffending.

Vocational Support

Another program that caught my eye was their vocational support. Because those who struggle with substance use may have a hard time keeping a job, Step N 2 Recovery offered career training and a job readiness program. This program may have helped you understand what your skills were, create a resume and improve your interviewing skills so you were ready to secure productive employment.
