About StayWell Health Center

Since they started back in 1972, StayWell Health Center has offered drug misuse programs and mental health services for adults. They’re located in Waterbury, Connecticut. They provide intensive outpatient (IOP) and general outpatient (OP) care. You can get more flexibility if you want to live at home and continue working or attending school while getting treatment.

Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is available to help lessen withdrawal symptoms and ease drug cravings. They use FDA-approved medicines to help keep guests more comfortable during treatment. That way, you'll have less of a chance of relapse as you settle into your program.

Individual and group therapy sessions help you get to the underlying factors that can fuel an addiction. You can learn tips on how to healthily cope with frustrations instead of turning to drugs. A peer group can also help you by forming a network that you can rely on when temptation strikes. They’ll stay with you even after you graduate.

Stress management is a vital component of the program to assist with calming techniques that encourage long-term sobriety. You’ll learn mindfulness strategies that help you retain peace and may improve focus.

Throughout the entire program, you might receive additional physicals and drug tests. That way, they'll be able to track your progress and make sure that they're supporting your recovery. You and your team will discuss ways to adjust your treatment so you get the most out of it as possible.

Case management is available to help guide you through the program and connect you to outside resources needed for continued recovery. They have this service for English and Spanish-speaking clients to provide more accommodations for the general community. The goal is to offer the most comprehensive treatment to help you overcome addiction for good.
