About Spectrum Health Systems
Spectrum Health Systems has three clinics in Worcester, Massachusetts. The site on Pleasant Street is an accredited outpatient drug rehab facility. Addiction treatment services are available to adults aged 18 and older. Care is offered here regardless of gender, race, or background.
Services here include outpatient counseling and rapid access to naltrexone and buprenorphine. Same-day admission and walk-in access to FDA-approved medication for substance abuse disorder is available. They act as an on-demand treatment center, providing access to medication that can reduce the risk of relapse, lessen withdrawal symptoms and lower the risk of overdose.
Their outpatient counseling services include individual, group and family sessions for adults with mental health or substance abuse issues. These are available to individuals at various points in their recovery and can be adapted to suit clients’ unique needs.
On admission, clients complete thorough intake assessments. Results are then used to help develop a personalized recovery plan for each client that will see them through their recovery journey. The team also works closely with family members as appropriate to help educate them on their loved one’s addiction. They also give them the tools they need to best support them during the recovery journey.
Initial visits at the center only take around two to three hours and individuals will undergo clinical and medication evaluations to check that they’re eligible for treatment. Once this is confirmed then they can receive an initial prescription as part of their medication-assisted treatment (MAT) program.
