About St Peters Addiction Recovery Latham
St. Peter’s Addiction Recovery Center in Latham, New York, provides services to adolescents, adults, veterans, and families who are struggling with mental health conditions and substance abuse disorders. For over 150 years they have partnered with local municipalities, Daughters Of Charity, The Religious Sisters Of Mercy, and schools to provide supportive services and programs. Their mission has always been to provide care for underserved and vulnerable populations.
Their adolescent chemical dependency treatment program is tailored to children from ages 13-18, and they offer a multitude of services to help your child heal. A few of the many services provided by this program includes assessments, diagnosis, case management, referral services, individual counseling and family therapy.
Their outpatient program for opioid addiction provides a variety of services to help you heal and develop a healthier lifestyle. Assessments, referrals for higher level of treatment, medication assisted treatment (MAT), linkage to healthcare, and therapy are some of the many services available to you.
Other services that will be available to you include workplace reintegration, psychiatric services, peer self-help meetings and case management. They also provide supportive services for your family.
Where this treatment center is located provides nearby access to a water park, historic sites, luxury spas, bowling alleys, golf courses, museums and art galleries. This creates an opportunity for you to bond and connect with your recovery support group and do fun and sober outings together.
Another St. Peter’s service that really sticks out to me is their Drinking Driver Program (DDP). This program is 16 hours long throughout the course of seven weeks. In order to complete successfully, you must maintain sobriety and perfect attendance. The program was designed by the New York department of motor vehicles and includes group discussions, films, lectures, education and self evaluation. Your evaluations and referrals will determine whether you need to receive treatment beyond this program.
