Intensive Outpatient Groups in Evansville

The Moran Center offers a unique outpatient program called Matrix. It focuses on a structured development of early recovery and relapse prevention skills, family programming as well as social support.

I like that they offer both morning and evening sessions so that it works for your schedule. You'll attend three times a week in a group setting. During these sessions you'll learn mindfulness based relapse prevention. This is a contemplative intervention that has been proven to be effective for people with substance use disorders. You'll learn both the internal and external events that can lead to a risk of relapse. Then you'll learn how to change your responses to cravings. In addition, you'll also take part in individual and family therapy which will help you heal your relationships with yourself and your loved ones.

I like that clients also get access to medical visits with their psychiatric nurse practitioner. This way your whole health is a priority.

Crisis Support in Downtown Evansville

They have a stabilization unit that is equipped to help people in crisis. It's located on 4th Street in Evansville and is open beyond normal office hours. Staff provide immediate help and continued follow up to make sure that folks progress toward recovery.

They also have a mobile response crisis unit for psychiatric emergencies. They offer onsite support wherever the needs are as well as referrals and follow-up care. If staff determine that you needs urgent treatment, they'll transport you to the right place in the community. They also work with local law enforcement when needed.
