About Southcentral Foundation Mt Ahklun Building

Located on Diplomacy Drive, near the Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska, is the Southcentral Foundation Mt Ahklun Building and the administrative office of Southcentral Foundation.

Southcentral Foundation is an Alaska Native-owned, nonprofit health care organization serving Alaska Native and American Indian people living in Anchorage and 55 rural Alaskan villages. Among the facilities and programs that the Foundation manages is the Four Directions Outpatient Treatment Center, an outpatient mental health and substance abuse treatment program for individuals with addiction, ages 18 and older, and the Southcentral Foundation Rural Behavioral Program that provides mental health and substance abuse treatment services and case management services to rural communities.

The Rural Behavioral Health program places behavioral health aides in rural communities. These professionals, along with case managers, assist in supporting mental health treatment and substance abuse treatment, including counseling and addiction relapse prevention services. They make referrals as needed.
