About Sojourner House MOMS
Located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Sojourner House MOMS provides comprehensive care and wraparound services to mothers who are seeking care for their drug or alcohol use disorder. If you’re a recovering mother, you can move through your recovery journey with your children by your side allowing you to continue playing a critical role in their lives.
The programs at Sojourner House include inpatient treatment and residential treatment. Through these programs, you’ll be supported through 24/7 residential rehabilitation care for you and up to three children. Programs can last up to you six months and connect you to services unique to your needs including individual and group counseling.
To be eligible for treatment, individuals must have dual-diagnosis addiction and mental health disorders, be experiencing homelessness, or be referred by a treatment program. Sojourner House MOMS requires proof of participation in a recovery program or proof that applicants are 90 days clean.
Parents of either gender are welcome, as long as they have at least one child and can prove custody. They receive affordable, safe housing, educational and vocational opportunities, and links to resources.
In addition to providing drug rehab care, Sojourner House provides you with both supportive housing and permanent housing as you navigate recovery. The supportive housing serves as transitional housing for recovering women. Through this program, you’ll learn critical life skills, develop self-sufficiency, and have access to mental health support. Similarly, the permanent housing program can help connect you to safe housing for you and your children, allowing you to successfully transition back into society.
