About Sobriety House Baber House
Sobriety House in Denver is Colorado's oldest substance use disorder treatment center. Here, you can get support for lifelong recovery using the 12-step and other proven models. They offer residential treatment, outpatient and aftercare support regardless of your ability to pay. At Sobriety House, you'll get a safe, home like environment to focus on your recovery. They accept Medicaid, grants and private pay and have a sliding scale.
There are two levels of residential treatment at Sobriety House. In both programs, you'll attend weekly house meetings, perform chores, participate in support meetings every week and complete homework. Group sessions will focus on topics such as stress management and feelings awareness. I like that Sobriety House is staffed by people with lived experience of addiction.
Their outpatient program is available to people who are stepping down from Sobriety House’s residential program. You'll meet once a week for two hours for continued support as you transition back into the community. Sobriety House also operates sober living apartments. Rent is reduced compared to typical costs in Denver. Residents can live in these apartments for up to nine months. You'll have a private residence with your own kitchen and bathroom.
