About Sober Living North Avondale Mens House

Sober Living is a non-profit organization that provides safe and affordable sober housing and structured living to people recovering from alcohol and drug addiction. North Avondale Men’s House is a Sober Living facility in Cincinnati, Ohio.

It offers an encouraging environment where clients can continue their personal growth and recovery through educational, vocational, and spiritual development. The houses include all the amenities needed for comfortable living, including modern furniture, a fully-equipped kitchen, laundry services, and a house telephone. You’ll stay in an apartment-style facility with roommates who are on a similar recovery journey as you.

While staying at North Avondale Men’s House, clients are required to attend in-house support groups and mental health services are available on an individual basis. They offer life skills classes, relapse prevention training, and courses on spiritual development.

Transport tokens for popular bus routes are provided so clients can access AA meetings and other groups outside of the facility. Plus, clients learn to enjoy sober recreational activities such as basketball, picnic sites, communal lounge areas and social outings. Furthermore, Sober Living collaborates with social services and community agencies to ensure clients get all the support they need to get back on their feet.

Clients are required to have stable employment or volunteer work while living in North Avondale Men’s House so it’s great that they offer job training and referrals to widen opportunities. For those who wish to get their GED, referral services are provided through neighborhood community centers for continuing educational needs. They have a unique Jobs Program in which they partner with local staffing agencies to help clients find work and pursue career development.
