About Sober Living America

Sober Living America offers its services in Atlanta, Georgia. This program is designed for adults seeking help with addiction but who may not have financial stability. It's a sober living program that offers housing with counseling and life skills support and training. Peer support is also a key component of the program.

For too many people, cost gets in the way of seeking help for substance use disorder. Another major barrier is coming from an unstable (or no) home. Sober Living America addresses both of these concerns: the program is low cost and gives you clean, sober housing during your stay in the program.

What's really great about it is, there's no cost of admission. Instead, you pay a monthly fee, which can vary with program options.

Unlike inpatient programs where you're locked in the facility, Sober Living America encourages you to participate in work and leisure activities off site as part of recovery.

They have a lot of options for you to choose from, so you can match your experience to your needs or interests. In addition to licensed counseling and relapse prevention training, you can participate in AA meetings. You'll also have access to spiritual support as well as career and life skills development. The staff works to make sure you leave with a strong foundation already in place.

I think it's worth noting that they have an intensive program, too. Though this is the more expensive option ($1890 a month instead of $800), the heightened intensity may be a better fit if you're experiencing extreme symptoms. The intensive program lasts 30 days and features four classes each day in addition to the features of the standard program. It's worth considering, especially if you're transitioning from another, higher level of treatment.
