About Sieda Mahaska County Resource Center

The Sieda Neighborhood Resource Center that serves Mahaska County is located in Oskaloosa, Iowa. This center provides economic resources and outpatient substance use counseling as well as information about and referrals to all of Seida’s services.

You can pay for Sieda programs using Medicaid or private insurance. They also have a sliding fee scale for those who qualify.

Addiction Treatment and Integrated Services for Co-Occurring Disorders

The outpatient substance use treatment offered by Sieda includes assessments as well as individual and group therapy. They create a personalized plan for each client and can refer you to more intensive treatment options if needed.

Sieda also does community education in each county they operate in to reduce the stigma associated with getting substance use and mental health treatment.

Integrated treatment services are available for those with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. This program is available for all ages in age specific cohorts. They provide an intensive outpatient program (IOP) that has 9+ hours of treatment each week as well as general outpatient treatment, which is less than nine hours per week.

The integrated treatment program can also provide targeted trauma focused treatment and support through the Seeking Safety program and address problem gambling if needed.

Medication Assisted Treatment in Ottumwa

Seida can provide medication assisted treatment (MAT) for those struggling with alcohol or opioid misuse, but the dosing center is located in Ottumwa, Iowa. That’s 30 minutes away from Oskaloosa, so it may be doable for many clients.

This service is available to Seida clients in all counties, including Mahaska County.
