About Shepherd’s House
Providing care and housing for veterans in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Shepherd’s House is a sober living home. Using faith based Christian principles and scripture, they’ll help veterans heal from addiction and other mental health issues. They house up to 35 veterans at a time, and you’ll engage in psychoeducation, life skills classes, and therapy while staying here.
Many veterans who come to Shepherd’s House are homeless and need support. Here you’ll focus on your addiction issues and receive case management services. During classes there will be spiritual counseling, financial management, and relapse prevention skills. All veterans are treated with dignity and respect while staying here and personal religious beliefs are honored.
A veteran who stayed at Shepherd’s House for several months said this program saved his life. He also said the staff truly cares about the residents. Another resident said they helped him help himself and make changes in his life.
