About Shepherds House Maxwelton Court
Shepherd's House’s Maxwelton Court is a program for men seeking treatment for addiction. It's located in Lexington, Kentucky. This is a structured residential program that lasts for 12 months and is based on the 12 Step model. The program is divided into phases designed to demonstrate your commitment to sober living.
The mission of Shepherd's House is to teach you long term recovery skills as you slowly reintegrate into your post treatment life. The focuses of the program include peer support and securing and keeping employment. You'll participate in 12 Step programs throughout your stay in addition to receiving group and individual counseling. Different modalities are available, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing and cognitive behavioral therapy.
But you'll have additional help from staff, too, through case management support. This is a great program if you need extra help "connecting the dots" of your day to day life. Case management typically includes things like help scheduling and keeping appointments and transportation.
Shepherd's House does not accept insurance. Instead, clients pay rent each week, which covers the costs of their stay.
