About Maine General Intensive Outpatient Program

Located on the MaineGeneral Medical Seton Campus, MaineGeneral Intensive Outpatient Program is a behavioral health and drug and alcohol addiction treatment facility in Waterville, Maine. They provide comprehensive care of adult clients and provide referrals for additional medical services as needed to other MaineGeneral departments. They provide intensive outpatient treatment (IOP), individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, addiction education, medication education, coping and life skill development, and anger management.

Specialized services offered include weekly dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) groups and co-occurring disorder treatment. DBT groups four times a week in four hour sessions, with the program typically lasting four to six weeks in total.
