About Serenity Lane Residential Treatment

In Coburg, Oregon, Serenity Lane residential treatment offers same day admission. They accept most insurance plans and provide medical detox and substance use disorder treatment in an inpatient setting.

Most clients begin their journey at Serenity Lane with detox. This takes place in a specialty center within the facility where clients are medically monitored to make sure they safely withdraw from alcohol and/or drugs. Once you're in the clear, the team of medical, mental health professionals and counselors will work to come up with a treatment plan that's right for you. you'll then move into the residential wing.

Clients also get mental health evaluation and clinical assessments. If you have a co-occurring disorder, you can get support for that at the same time as you recover from addiction. I like that every patient is assigned a counselor to work with. That counselor will be the one to lead your group sessions that happen twice a day.

You'll also be assigned a buddy from this group of your peers. This is a nice way to have somebody looking out for you and supporting you as you do the same for them. Many lifelong friendships have developed through residential treatment. Other programming includes lectures from staff and alumni, discussion groups and assigned readings.

After your residential stay ends, you’ll step down to an outpatient option. It depends on your symptoms. In either option, you'll continue therapy in group settings. They’ll teach your how to manage difficult emotions and circumstances so that you can make the best choices towards sustainable sobriety.

I also appreciate their educational approach to recovery. There are education programs that allow you to learn about how drug use impacts your body, relationships, and all other aspects of your life. With these classes, you’ll be empowered to make healthier life choices that will help support your sobriety.

I find their family program to be particularly wonderful. This program works hard to rebuild family relationships and good communication between everyone. The family program includes therapy and support as well as education. The first portion of the program begins with education. Then, you'll progress to learn about family systems and communication. One of the highlights of this program is where you write letters to each other to stay in touch.

There's always something happening with the Serenity Lane alumni group. They host fun events, alumni support meetings, service opportunities and much more. There’s also a newsletter that you can sign up for or stay connected through social media.
