About Serenity Lane Treatment Center

Unfortunately, the East Portland Clinic of Serenity Lane has closed. Once located in Portland, Oregon, it was one of several clinics Serenity Lane operated in the state to help adults with addiction and behavioral health concerns. Their programs included intensive and general outpatient programs to accommodate different needs. They also offered DUI programming.

Serenity Lane is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Services. Though the East Portland location is closed, you can receive the same excellent care at one of their other clinics, including their other location in Portland West.

Flexible Meeting Times to Accommodate You

Outpatient programs are known for being more flexible than inpatient programs since treatment is broken up into shorter recurring sessions instead of ongoing residential stays. The model is beneficial for those who can't spend that much time away from home, like parents.

The East Portland location took it a step further with multiple sessions in a day. Programs like theirs that had options for day or evening treatment offer even greater flexibility to those with strict or ever changing schedules.

12 Step Integration

The core of outpatient treatment is individual counseling. Some also offer group counseling, while others provide just one or the other. However, I feel the element that makes programs stand out is what models they incorporate.

The East Portland Clinic included the 12 Step model in their outpatient programs. It's an easy way to get a treatment plan that includes the accountability and structure of inpatient treatment without the need for an inpatient stay. It's not a one for one substitute for inpatient care, but it could be what you're looking for if you feel your past outpatient programs weren't doing enough.

DUI Education and Treatment When You Need It

Something I appreciate about Serenity Lane's DUI program is that it offers the same flexibility as its outpatient programs with day and evening sessions. If you've ever looked at these types of programs before, you'll know that some are much more rigid in scheduling. I think being extra accommodating like this can make the process feel more welcoming.

Though the East Portland Clinic has closed its doors, you can still get great outpatient care from Serenity Lane's other locations. You can find a complete listing of sites on their website. They’re in network with many major insurance plans and offer financial aid to those who qualify.
