You’ll have access to a staff physician and nursing assistance in a peaceful setting.
Serenity House can accommodate 20 guests, with gender specific housing available. Their residential program is co-ed based, with various amenities offered during your stay such as fitness and recreational activities, an onsite dining center and a chapel for spiritual services. They believe that the home like setting provides a better environment for detox and makes it more relaxing than a sterile medical setting.
During your stay, you’ll have chores to complete to keep you occupied and give you a sense of responsibility. There are meditation times, and you’ll participate in psychoeducation lectures and process groups that help you learn about contributing factors included in substance use. You’ll also receive individual counseling and complete homework assignments from your cognitive behavioral therapy sessions. Evening 12 Step meetings are mandatory for all guests. You’ll also have your cell phone at specific times to keep in touch with loved ones. Family visitation is encouraged on weekends.
