Sea Mar Community Health Centers’ Renacer Youth Treatment Center provides a residential program for 30 days for stabilization and recovery skill building in South Seattle, Washington. It’s pretty close to the Duwamish Waterway. They also offer intensive inpatient substance use disorder treatment that lasts from 90-120 days. They also support youths with dually diagnosed mental health and substance use issues.
Their low cost residential care benefits low income youth in King County who lack access to adequate recovery resources or health coverage. This primarily includes adolescents aged 13 to 17. You may be considered after evaluation by the program manager if you’re 18. The facility offers a highly structured and conducive space for recovery. You’ll enjoy comfortable sleeping accommodation and a well balanced meal while onsite.
You’ll benefit from the services of staff members who provide 24/7 support and guidance. They focus on an integrated and team based treatment approach that helps you heal in all areas of your life.
The programming is quite intensive. You’ll attend at least 20 hours of group sessions alongside one or more individual counseling. This session uses evidence based models like cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and moral reconation to effect positive change in habits. You’ll also attend at least two 12-step meetings like AA/NA weekly.
You’ll participate in daily recreational exercise, fitness and leisure activities to make things exciting. This cuts across wellness activities like yoga, proper diet and nutritional education. They’ll teach you daily life skills that encourage a healthier lifestyle. You’ll also receive integrated medical care including medical, dental and vision care onsite. If you like to unwind outdoors, the Salmon Cove Park & Shoreline Habitat isn’t too far away.
They provide HIV/AIDS education to raise awareness and support healthier choices. Daily attendance at in-house school is mandatory to prepare you for a high school diploma or GED. You’ll earn school credits for participation. Family involvement is highly emphasized as a key ingredient to lasting healing. This makes sense since a positive family dynamic strengthens your support network.
The facility implements family-to-client recovery support that involves daily and weekly scheduled contact with your loved ones. They also offer family education on the addiction process and intensive treatment to help with reintegration and rebuilding family relationships.
