About Sea Mar Tacoma Behavioral Health – 19th St.

Sea Mar Community Health Centers’ Tacoma Behavioral Health Clinic in Washington is an accredited, state-licensed community mental health agency. Care is available to individuals of any age, ethnicity, or background. Self-pay and sliding-scale payment options are available. They also accept Washington Apple Health (Medicaid), Washington Healthplanfinder, Medicare, and the Basic Food Program.

The Tacoma facility offers dual-diagnosis care for individuals with co-occurring mental health conditions. They provide personalized treatment plans to best meet the needs of individual clients. Many of their staff also speak more than one language, meaning they can offer care to wider, more diverse communities.

They also provide outpatient and an aftercare program for those suffering from alcohol addiction and drug use. Treatment includes case management for kids and adults, individual and group therapy, psycho-education, medication management and assessments, and community outreach.

A few clients mention counselors regularly being changed, quitting, or canceling appointments. Generally, former clients who have left feedback don’t have great things to say about the center’s counselors, with some saying they lack compassion, or can be dismissive. With this in mind, I would urge anyone considering receiving treatment here to do thorough research before committing.
