About Savio House Main Denver Office Adolescent Services
Savio is a non-profit children and youth organization in Denver, Colorado. They work to help youth who have behavioral issues like substance use, running away, problem sexual behaviors, delinquency and aggression. They work with families and teens in their own homes for convenience and comfort.
This in-home therapy approach helps strengthen the whole family to support the teen. Substance use treatment is available for teens between 12 and 18. Your teen will first have an assessment to figure out their needs and struggles.
They offer an impressive 10 different types of therapies including functional family therapy and trauma-focused therapy. I’m impressed by the fact that more than three out of every four families in the adolescent programs succeed with their issue by the end of their treatment. Their goal is to unify loved ones and help them play an active role in the client’s long-term recovery.
Savio House also offers a free parent support program that teaches parents how to make being a parent easier and more fun. Again, this program takes place in your own home which is super convenient. Most Denver families are eligible if they have a child preschool age or younger. During this training, you’ll learn how to remove common safety hazards, prevent difficult behaviors, and respond to usual childhood injuries and illnesses.
They also run foster care services to give kids safe and stable homes when they’ve been separated from their families. Savio gives the family therapy and life skills so that kids can heal and return home.
