They serve three hot nutritious meals a day for people in the street who show up to be fed. They also offer emergency shelter services for families with children and single women. Safe Housing For Women in Recovery
They offer two distinct housing programs where women in recovery can receive the support they need to overcome substance use. The Simon Transitional Housing Program helps single women over 18 who are struggling with substance use and mental health conditions. The Simon program offers a structured and safe living space, life skills training and counseling. Counseling helps you address underlying issues, build coping skills and prevent.They also offer case management. This may include help with permanent housing, job placement and medical care via community linkage.
First Choice is another recovery program here and a particularly unique one. It is a long term residential care that serves women and their children in recovery. The program offers a structured and clean living space including a private room with a bath. Transportation is provided alongside offsite daycare referrals. While onsite residents attend therapy groups and addiction counseling to build coping skills and prevent relapse.
Family counseling is provided as well to strengthen family bonds. You’ll also attend 12 step meetings like AA/NA to build a more robust support network. The program also incorporates experiential learning activities, life skills development and parental training. It lasts 12 months during which you’ll focus on rebuilding your life and developing skills for lasting success.
