About Safe Harbor Of Erin
Safe Harbor of Erin is a faith-based recovery program for people in Clarkson, Tennessee. They serve clients who’re leaving prisons and jails and have substance use disorders and/or co-occurring mental health conditions. Safe Harbor focuses especially on those in the surrounding rural counties. This program is funded by community donations.
The Safe Harbor program requires clients to commit for 12 months. They’ll coordinate with courts or parole and probation offices on your behalf. They provide room and board as well as meals and transportation. They'll attempt to get you work through their back to work program. You’ll be expected to work during your stay to help pay for your stay.
Safe Harbor uses sermons and biblical teachings to promote recovery. However, residents may decline to participate and use that time to work on recovery materials. I love the Safe Harbor daily schedule. It includes an early morning wake up, chores and exercise as well as life skills and recovery groups. They cover topics such as anger management, relapse prevention, fatherhood development and money management, just to name a few.
