About Ruth Meiers Adolescent Residential Center (RMAC)

Brookwood Florida Transitional Housing is a residential therapeutic group home in Saint Petersburg, Florida. They provide a supportive environment for adolescent girls and young women.

The facility offers a holistic approach to recovery and independence by combining mental health care with education and life skills training. This trauma-informed program is designed to help residents transition from crisis to self-sufficiency.

Extensive Support

The facility operates a four-part program focusing on mental health counseling, education, employment readiness and independent living skills. Residents receive personalized care from licensed therapists and an on-site psychiatrist.

Clients can participate in individual, group and family counseling to address trauma and mood disorders. I noticed the program also provides practical support such as tutoring and budget management training.

Preparing For Employment

The organization will also help you get prepared for employment. You’ll be evaluated for your readiness for work or volunteer opportunities.

The staff will also teach you resume creation and interview techniques. I like that they also provide assistance with job searches and transportation to work.

Brookwood Florida Transitional Housing offers a safe harbor and a path forward for young women seeking stability and personal growth.
