About Rosecrance at Walnut Street
Rosecrance Walnut is located in Champaign, Illinois. The organization is accredited by The Joint Commission. They are members of the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers and won the pro football Hall of Fame award for Elite Care Center.
Mental health and substance use treatment services are provided to adults, teens and families. Among the insurances accepted are Medicaid, Medicare, TRICARE, and Veteran Affair Benefits. If you choose not to use your insurance or are uninsured, you are able to pay for your treatment via cash, credit cards, checks and money orders.
I like that they have different levels of support and care available. They have intensive outpatient treatment, therapy, family education, behavioral health screenings and alumni support. The therapy methods that they use are cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy.
What I found interesting is this space that they call “The Living Room”. You can come here for peer support and mentoring. The space also provides recovery materials that are available for you and your family members.
Adults and adolescents are able to receive intensive outpatient treatment. Your treatment will include an individualized treatment plan that includes relapse prevention planning, educational sessions, specific topic groups, individual counseling and group therapy.
The program requires you to attend a certain amount of times per week. You attend treatment nine hours per week for eight to 10 weeks. After that, there’s a step down option. With this option you attend treatment five hours per week for four weeks.
They are a medication assisted treatment facility. You’re able to receive medication in pill form or in a long lasting injection form. These medications help reduce your cravings and ease withdrawal symptoms, which reduces your risk of relapsing. The medications also help give your brain time to heal, allowing for your mental and physical health to improve.
