About Rose Hill Center

The Rose Hill Center is a beautiful treatment facility in Holly, Michigan. Their team is provided by specialists in several mental health disorders as well as substance use disorders. They offer residential treatment programs for adults in an inclusive environment. Rose Hill Center does not directly bill insurance.

Their philosophy combines clinical excellence with a serene environment to enhance the healing experience. The 400-acre campus features natural amenities and a working farm. Inside the residence is set up with all the comforts of home. To me, this is an ideal place for someone seeking care outside of a traditional hospital setting.

Taking the Time You Need

You may have seen some residential programs offering treatment on a strict time frame. While some of these programs no doubt offer great recovery support, the reality is that each of us living with substance use disorder is different. We experience things differently and are facing various challenges.

While Rose Hill states that their average stay is nine to 12 months, the length of stay is up to you and the progress you make. Their approach focuses on multiple aspects of your well being based on your needs, so your plan and stay can look very different from those of your fellow residents. But that's okay because they're making sure that you're prepared to support yourself when you graduate from the program.

Making the Transition Back Home Easier

I appreciate the design of their transitional living program. If you complete residential care but feel you need more time to practice and develop your coping and living skills, this program will place you in a townhouse with up to two roommates.

I like that it continues the shared living aspect of the residential program but puts more focus on individual responsibility. You'll receive help from staff scheduling your day so you can maintain a sense of purpose in recovery. They'll help you find employment and connect you with volunteer and education opportunities.

Staying in Touch with Recovery

The service I'm most impressed by is Rose Hill's community support option. Once you've left the program completely, you may be eligible to receive continuing contact from staff. The purpose of this is to monitor and help with your recovery efforts, extending some of the support services you received in the residence to your home. Incorporating staff directly into your ongoing support network is a great way to keep yourself in touch with treatment professionals should you ever need them again.
