About Riverside County Dept of Mental Health – Mental Health CalWorks
Riverside University Health Day Reporting Center provides behavioral health services to county residents in Indio, California. At this Day Reporting Center outpatient behavioral services are co-located with a probation office. This allows Riverside to provide mental health and addiction treatment along with other services to both county residents and those involved with the justice system. The Center serves adults and adolescents, with targeted services for pregnant women and women with children.
The Center accepts MediCal. I appreciate that no one is turned away because they can’t pay.
Outpatient Addiction and Mental Health Treatment
The outpatient behavioral health services available here include individual, group and family therapy. This counseling can address mental health needs as well as substance use disorder and provide support for people who have both diagnoses.
This clinic provides medication assisted treatment (MAT) for those struggling with opioids or alcohol misuse. If appropriate they can refer you to a different location within their network for medical detox services.
Services for Adolescents and the Justice Involved
Adolescents can get outpatient counseling and intensive outpatient treatment (IOT) to treat addiction. They can also provide early intervention for teens with risky behavior.
What stands out to me is that those involved in the justice system receive tailored services at this Day Reporting Center. Riverside offers MAT and treatment counseling as well as impaired driving classes and drug court programs.
