You’ll come to the clinic daily for your dose because Methadone is effective for 24 hours. You’ll get an extra dose for days the clinic is closed. After you've been stable for a while, you may be eligible for take-home doses. This means that you won't have to come to the clinic every day. This gives you more trust and flexibility.
Antabuse is used to treat chronic alcohol abuse. This medication causes a negative reaction that is very unpleasant when you have any traces of alcohol. over time your brain will stop craving alcohol because of the negative association with its aftereffects.
