Rio Arriba County Substance, Treatment, Outreach and Prevention Program is a community program providing drug and alcohol treatment to individuals in Espanola. Designed to reduce the number of alcohol and drug related fatalities in New Mexico, Rio Arriba County provides programs and services throughout the state, in collaboration with multiple departments and government agencies. Treatments include mental health assessments, therapeutic and educational activities, including individual and group therapy, medication assisted treatment (MAT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), family education and support, mindfulness groups, and relapse prevention training. Services also extend to schools in which they provide adolescents with prevention education, and diversion programs for DWI offenders.
